Scores of these tests will count for your 3rd term class as the term will be ALL in French, and will focus on French production (speaking, reading, writing, listening).
Start with the reading.
Continue with the writing.
Read the prompt and use all its components (the prompt is mostly giving you ideas to develop your answer). Aim at producing a text of 250 to 300 word long (NOT longer!). The task is to produce enough language to show a variety of skills (vocab, sentence constructions, grammar control and variety). Remember to use all what you know (vocab and grammar rules). Insert a few complex sentences (a sentence 2 or more conjugated verbs) with:
Conjunctions: parce que, mais, ainsi, comme, tel que, cependant, donc, néanmoins (nonetheless), quand, lorsque, depuis, ...
These conjunctions need the subjunctive and 2 ≠ subjects otherwise use the infinitive: pour que, avant que, à moins que, de peur que
These conjunctions need the subjunctive and can introduce the same subject as in the principal clause: jusqu'à ce que, bien que (although)
Relative pronouns: qui, que, dont, où, lequel/laquelle, etc...
Try to use one "Si" clause (si + présent, futur, Si + imparfait, conditionnel présent / Si + plus que parfait, conditionnel passé. Try to use one or 2 subjunctives; a participe présent.
Proofread your text to check the conjugation of your verbs and make sure that the rule : VC + VI is applied (after a conjugated verb the second verb is at the infinitive).
I will have access to your production, and these 2 essays will be part of your grade for term 3, so do a good job. I know it will be much easier than most of what you have written for this class so far. And, it is an opportunity to show your skills in French. Make me proud!
